HLFT’s Client Prevails After Washington Supreme Court Denies Petition to Review of Appeal Affirming Trial Court’s Post-Verdict Dismissal of Equitable Claim
On December 7, the Washington State Supreme Court denied plaintiff – appellant’s petition to review a May 31, 2022 Court of Appeals ruling. In a complex case involving an international securities transaction and claims under the Washington State Securities Act (WSSA), HLFT obtained a post-verdict ruling dismissing the plaintiff’s sole claim against our client. The Court of Appeals affirmed the trial win, protecting a bequest to HLFT’s client, which is an international charitable organization.
